A Description of Retreat Location
In the local language, the term "Dayara" describes a circular area of land that resembles the hoop-shaped grassy turf of this Bugyal, which is bordered by dark oak and maple trees. Beyond the green reaches of the Dayara is a dazzling snowline of the Bandarpoonch other peaks. A stroll through Dayara's undulating meadows will transport you out of this world with its lush biodiversity, the hushed solitude of the oak woodlands, and somewhere far in the distance, a breath-taking peak vista panorama gradually unveiled. You may get glimpses of the Gangotri group of peaks, Srikanth peak, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak throughout the entire road at several intersections.
The seventh day of the trip has another high point as we climb 12,100 feet from our Dayara campground to Dayara Top. You may reach the confluences of several neighbouring meadows, including the Giddara Bugyal, by hiking along a ridge. A beautiful track leads to Dodital, a freshwater lake that serves as the source of the Assi Ganga. This section of the summer meadows is covered with a golden shower of wildflowers.
The snow-thatched Bandarpoonch will leave an iridescent impact on this entire paradisiacal exuberance. From here, the path meanders down to Barsu, a charming town known for its beds of poppies and silky-flowing buckwheat fields. We stop at Barnala, a tiny crystal waterhole surrounded by a temple dedicated to the Nag Devata, as our final pit stop before entering the village.
