Day 1
Arrival at Negombo airport & Sunset Boat tour
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Negombo. You can relax at the hotel to recover from your long flight. Sit by the beach or relax by the pool and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Day 2
Negombo – Kandy via Kegalle
Program: Begin your adventure with a transfer to Kandy via the Millennium Elephant Foundation, where you'll have the unique opportunity to walk with elephants and learn about their daily lives. Continue your journey to Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred Buddhist site that houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Immerse yourself in the temple's mystical atmosphere and witness the daily rituals performed by devotees. Day 3
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Cycling Distance: 25kms Program: Today we will start with a scenic e-bike ride around the hills of Kandy. Explore the backroads and see the hearts of this hill capital. Cycle through villages, scenic tea estates and beautiful valleys. Then continue your trip further into the hills to Nuwara Eliya and settle into a cosy cottage. Day 4
Nuwara Eliya – Haputale
Program: Make your way to Tangalle, a picturesque coastal town known for its golden beaches and crystal-clear waters. As evening approaches, embark on a kayaking adventure in the tranquil waters of the Rekawa lagoon. Marvel at the breath-taking sunset as you glide through the mangrove forests, surrounded by the sounds of nature. After a relaxing evening, head to the Rekawa turtle sanctuary and witness the amazing sight of turtles nesting on the beach. With the guidance of a naturalist, you'll learn about these fascinating creatures and observe their nesting habits up close. Day 5
Haputale – Beach Day
After an early breakfast group will start cycling south east. Today is one of the most stunning days of cycling. Head from Polonnaruwa down to Maha Oya through the forest reserve. En-route we pass the massive Maha Oya reservoir. We will be cycling in elephant country so need to keep an eye out for elephants on either side of the road. We will cycle up to the small remote town of Maha Oya where the group will have lunch. The total cycling distance is 75 kms. Post lunch the group will be transferred by van to the coastal town of Batticaloa (1hr). Batticaloa is a major city in the Eastern Province, Sri Lanka, and its former capital. It is the administrative capital of the Batticaloa District. The city is the seat of the Eastern University of Sri Lanka and is a major commercial city. While not on the normal tourist circuit, Batticaloa gives you an insight on how the Sri Lankan minorities live. Tangalle – Riverstone

One must follow scheduling requirements when meals are included because they are typically at local neighbourhood establishments.
Your trip guide will be pleased to recommend restaurants that are popular with the locals whenever meals are not part of the package. Vegetarian cuisine options may occasionally be monotonous and limiting. Even so, it is impossible to guarantee specific meals, such as vegetarian or kid-friendly options. We will do our best to fulfil your needs. Please be sure to let your guide know if you're a vegetarian while going on guided excursions.
